Strategic Challenges
A solid plan is critical to ensuring the appropriate approach to integration. Typically, in an attempt to meet their acquisition goals, companies either pursue an overly draconian, top down culling, achieving cost reductions at the expense of revenue growth or, in an attempt to protect revenues, fail to make the necessary tough decisions required to reduce costs.
After the deal closes, our team works closely with management to develop the organizational approach for the integration process. The extra resources Callidon provides allows management to concentrate on managing the day to day businesses, while Callidon manages the integration process and shoulders most of the fact gathering burden. This results in better fact gathering and analysis before major integration decisions are made. It also facilitates more rapid execution of the integration, reducing the transition period, minimizing employee and customer uncertainty and achieving a higher NPV.
